It was with great excitement that I looked forward to attending my first major opera production at a world renowned opera house.  The trip to the big city for this memorable event cost a great deal of money, including the astounding price of the opera tickets.  Of course, the performance itself was worth all the effort and expense.  Watching a live opera performed by a major company was heart soaring and soul stirring, the sort of experience that makes you want to drop hundreds of dollars in the gift shop in an effort to “Remember the Moment”.

Alas, I was actually quite disappointed by what was offered at the opera house’s gift shop. The store had many lovely things for sale, but nothing that I felt would be just right to remember this particular moment.  As an artist, I began to mentally design the first opera bracelet (for Die Walkure).  The seed of the idea for Opera Bracelets was born!
