Part of the "Inspired by…" series, the Bride of Lammermoor Bracelet is inspired by the famous "Mad Scene" from Act 3 of Donizetti's tragedy, Lucia di Lammermoor. Lucia's brother has led her to believe the man she loves is untrue. When he returns proclaiming his undying love for her just as she marries another (arranged by her brother) Lucia's already fragile grip on reality is shattered. In madness she stabs her innocent bridegroom to death and then succumbs to madness and death herself.
Pearl, clear and crystal beads evoke Lucia's bridal and night gown. A Celtic knot heart and charm symbolize Lucia's true love vows with Edgardo and the setting of Scotland. Blood red beads and a dagger charm represent the tragic end awaiting Arturo, Lucia and Edgardo who stabs himself hoping to be reunited with his true love in death.
All "Inspired By..." Series Bracelets come with a card that identifies the symbolism of the charms and colors used.
