Suor Angelica

The one act opera Suor Angelica is the tale of a girl who becomes a nun to cover her shame after bearing a child out of wedlock. Properly, it is part of Puccini's Il Trittico (the Triptych) - which also includes the one act operas Gianni Schicchi and Il Tabbaro.
