FINAL DESIGN MODEL
The Siébel's Flower Song Bracelet is inspired by the aria Faites- lui mes aveux from Act 3 of Faust by Gounod. Lovesick Siébel brings handpicked flowers for Marguerite. The curse of Mephistopheles comes true: all flowers he touches wilt. But Siébel's love, devotion and faith, are strong. He dips his fingers into holy water and the next bouquet he picks does not wither! He shyly leaves it on Marguerite's step asking the flowers to speak to her for him.
I used black flowers to indicate the first flowers Siébel picks, which wither. Pink glass flowers and green leaves symbolize those he picks after breaking the curse. Clear glass droplets evoke the holy water in which Siébel dips his hands. The bouquet charm represents the flowers he leaves for Marguerite. A cross indicates faith. Glass hearts further represent his innocent and pure love for Marguerite.
All "Inspired By..." Series Bracelets come with a card that identifies the symbolism of the charms and colors used.
