The Silver Rose Bracelet is inspired by Strauss's Der Rosenkavallier. I chose sparkling clear and silver beads and crystals to evoke the custom of the Knight of the Rose. A pewter charm of the rose represents that given to young Sophie by her future love, Octavian (Though they don't exactly know that at the time). The heart charm symbolizes love as it shifts between the characters in different forms throughout the opera. The clock reflects The Marschallin's sadness that nothing stays the same and time seems to pass too quickly.
All "Inspired By..." Series Bracelets come with a card that identifies the symbolism of the charms and colors used.
