I bought this bracelet for my pianist as a gift at my senior recital. It was so beautiful. The color was gorgeous and she loved it!
I chose deep green beads with accents of gold to symbolize the sun shining on the fluttering leaves of Serse's beloved plane tree whose beauty and shade have sheltered and comforted him. He sings of his love for this tree in the aria "Ombra Mai Fu". Glass hearts evoke the love of Amastre and Serse: their emotions and anguish fuel the plot of the opera. Charms on the bracelet include: the tree itself; a crown indicating Amastre's destiny to be queen after much travail at the end of the opera and a dagger symbolizing the love Amastre has for Serse... she refuses to kill him after he has betrayed her.
